How to Start Your Morning Off Right
January 29th, 2020Each day is a new opportunity to fulfill something new, challenge yourself, and make a difference. The way you starting each day off right can have an impact on your mindset and productivity throughout the day.
Think about it, have you ever had a bad morning? Did it seem as if the morning foreshadowed the day ahead?
Everyone has those days, but it’s all about how you make the best of each morning and keep moving forward. We have provided daily habits you can implement to start your morning off strong.
Wake up early:
Not everyone enjoys waking up early. For those who enjoy sleeping in, it’s a difficult task but a rewarding one. Waking up early allows you to have more time in the day to get things done with less interruptions. Studies have proven that those who wake up early are more productive and consistent.
Exercise:
After a long day, exercising can be a dreadful task. When you exercise in the morning you’ll have more energy and awaken your body and mind for your day ahead. Working out increases the production of endorphins, which produces positive feelings and relieves stress. Going into the day with a positive and clear mind is so important.
Eat a healthy breakfast & stay hydrated:
You have definitely been hearing this since you were a kid, but it’s true! Having a breakfast that is protein filled, lean, and consists of healthy fats will leave your body feeling fueled and satisfied. It’s almost important to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated throughout the morning. Having a fueled body keeps your mind satisfied and concentrated.
Spend less time on your phone:
Before going to sleep and waking up avoid using your phone. Using your phone before bed will keep you up and distracted from going to sleep. This distraction occurs in the morning as well. When you wake up and check your phone, you’re filling your mind up with obligations instead of taking the time to ease your mind and prepare for the day. This time is important so you want to make the most of it.
Prepare a list:
The night before making a list of things you plan to accomplish the next day. Writing down the tasks and goals you have will keep your mind refreshed and reminded of the important tasks of the day. When compiling the list, put the most important tasks as the first to be accomplished. We suggest accomplishing the most difficult task early in the morning.
